Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival 2018

I had the opportunity to attend a Media Event at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to kick off the 2018 Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure going on March 2 – April 12. We were able to get the scoop behind some of the planning, and hear from one of Disneyland’s Executive Chefs, and preview some of the Festival food and drinks.

There are 13 different Festival Marketplaces located throughout the park, plus a Beer Garden, and a limited time special menu at Paradise Garden Grill. The Festival offerings have gluten free, kid-friendly, vegetarian, and vegan options. Be sure to grab a Tasting Passport to find the specifics. Continue reading

Since I had a visit planned to Disneyland on Sunday with my family, I opted to take them up on their invite and attend the Pre-Celebration Kids Event.

We sat outside on the patio close to the Kids Event so my youngest son could play while we were close by. The Dia de Los Muertos Pre-celebration had different stations set-up for kids with complimentary Face Painting, Cookie Decorating, Pumpkin Painting, and Arts & Crafts.

Holidays Eats at Trolley Treats

Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure Park is a sweet shop (pun intended) on Buena Vista Street. Trolley Treats carries all kinds of freshly made treats from cake pops, caramel apples, toffee, fudge, cookies, to seasonal favorites. Most of the treats at Trolley Treats can be found at Candy Palace and Pooh Corner at Disneyland, and Marceline’s Confectionery in Downtown Disney District. I can’t stop myself from popping in every visit to the park.

Marceline’s Confectionery at Halloween Time

In case you didn’t know, you can find most of the handcrafted goodies from Disneyland and Disney California Adventure at Marceline’s Confectionery in Downtown Disney® District, without the cost of a park ticket. I like being able to stop in there and take the treats to go before heading home and avoid having them smashed in my backpack from hopping ride to ride.

When you step inside Marceline’s Confectionery you feel like you have stepped inside an old-fashioned candy shop, which was named after the small Missouri town where Walt lived as a boy.
